To every Mother who had (or will have) a C-Section, and to every Child born from a C-Section— This Is for You.
Beloved Soul Family,
From my inner-spirit to yours, today I want to speak to you on something I believe is quite tender, and often hidden in the quiet chambers of a woman’s heart — the C-section birth. As some of you might have heard me say many times before, I usually get the most profound downloads and revelations during the very late hours of the night — oftentimes when I’m asleep — or believe it or not, when I’m in the shower. It’s something about that water when it hits you, it opens up deep channels of communication for me. This share arrived at the depths of my inner-spirit a few days ago and I did not want this week to end without me delivering it to those of you who need this message.
Anyway, so many mothers silently carry feelings of inadequacy or failure because their child did not enter the world “naturally.” How do I know this? Because within the past 30 years of active spiritual healing work, I’ve met these mothers. I’ve spoken to these mothers. I’ve sat in healing sessions with these mothers. Today though, what I realize is how society rarely speaks to the spiritual meaning and metaphysical power within this alternate doorway of life. So Spirit says, “Let us reclaim that truth”.
Let's talk about the spiritual and metaphysical sacredness of C-Sections. From a metaphysical standpoint, a cesarean birth is not less sacred — I say it is simply a different form of divine intervention. It represents the moment when Spirit overrides Nature, when the unseen forces of life step in and say, “This is how life will come through now.” While natural birth symbolizes the elements of Earth and Water, which to me would be the natural flow and surrender of the body, a C-section symbolizes the elements of Air and Fire, signifying clarity, precision, and divine interruption.
We can say it is a birth by decree, not by default. A soul contract between mother and child, in which both agree to enter the world differently — to teach surrender, survival, and the many faces of love. The scar itself becomes what Spirit came to me and called it, "a portal mark", and I’ll call it a sacred sigil, etched on the mother’s body. A physical reminder that she crossed through the threshold of life and death to deliver life. This is not a mark of failure. It is an initiation mark. A symbol of strength, devotion, and divine orchestration.
If this is you, you are in the club of the many mothers who feel as if they were robbed of a “natural” birth. But spiritually, this moment is about releasing the illusion of control and embracing the truth that life unfolds exactly as it must. So here's a healing for Mothers who feel "less than".
I invite you to consider the following as affirmations to recite as you meditate, pray, or journal. Consider the following as spiritual reframings and rituals to offer your inner-spirit:
- I still birthed life. The method changed, not the miracle.
- I was chosen to survive and teach surrender.
- My scar is my Ankh. A living symbol of eternal life and rebirth.
My healing ritual recommendations for you:
- Place your hands over your scar and whisper:“Through this gate of light, life entered. Through this mark, I remember my strength.”
- Write a love letter to your womb, thanking it for the path it chose.
- Gently anoint your scar with rose, sunflower, and/or orange oil, gazing at yourself in the mirror, and affirm your sacred beauty (not the beauty dictated by society). You could also bless your womb and your scar with river water.
What's the goal here? Well, these rituals help transmute shame into reverence. Why? Because there is nothing “unnatural” about divine rerouting. Remind yourself it was (or will be, if you are getting ready for your cesarean), divine intervention for a purpose greater than your ideal. DO YOU HEAR ME??
I want to also support you in understanding what the energetic disconnect that oftentimes occurs when giving birth by way of cesarean is. Energetically, a vaginal birth passes the baby through the canal of coding, where the mother’s electromagnetic field imprints itself upon the child’s nervous system. But in a C-section, that transmission changes form. There may be an altered energetic wiring, but it is not a broken one. The bond isn’t missing — it’s simply waiting to be consciously awakened. If not aware, over time your hard feelings about having had a c-section birth, could unconsciously negatively impact your relationship with your child and vise-versa. Over time, this can show up as: Emotional distance or misunderstandings, mismatched love languages, and also as guilt from the mother and/or unspoken resentment from the child. But in truth, this configuration is meant to teach intentional connection rather than automatic connection. Spirit designed this difference to call both souls into conscious love. Read the latter again.
So, that being said, here’s a little Shadow Work Healing. I’ll call it, the Mother & Child Shadow Work Healing:
For you, the Mother: Journal on: “What did I feel I lost that day? What was I protecting?” Then, affirm: “My love did not fail to arrive through the birth canal — it flows through every cell of my being.” Take a moment to explore your own inner-mother wound — the places where generations of women before you felt shame around their womanhood or body. Do not exclude the paternal lineage, as many mothers in your bloodline not only had to deal with their own misunderstandings about having a cesarean birth, but also, many were confronted with being and feeling unsupported by the father of their child during such a difficult time. Inquiry: Could your biological father be a result of a cesarean birth too? 🤷🏾
For the Child (even in adulthood): I invite you to reflect on moments of emotional disconnection with your mother — where your soul longed to be felt or heard. Practice cord-healing meditations to reweave the bond to her womb energy — even if you are currently not on speaking terms with her — to the sacred incubator. And lastly, write a letter to your mother’s womb, thanking it for choosing the path of life over risk, the path of incision over loss. Whether or not she was consciously aware that this is exactly what was going on. It was decided by your Ancestors of Wisdom.
For Both (Mother + Child Together): Consider creating a rebirthing ritual by sitting together, holding hands, or placing a hand over each other’s hearts. The mother says: “I welcome you again, through light and love. Our bond transcends the method of arrival.” The child responds: “I receive your love fully now, and release any story of separation.” And now, guess what: Retell the birth story together, aloud. Honor it without shame. See the divine intervention in it.
But here’s a deeper shadow lesson for you Momma: You know I have to go deeper on you. So here it goes: Consider the true shadow at play here is the illusion of incompleteness. For generations, women have been told that their worth lies in how well they can follow nature’s script. But Spirit has always reminded us that divinity expresses itself through all means — through medicine, metal, light, and will. So therefore, every C-section is a cosmic re-routing, a sacred collaboration between medicine and miracle. A reminder that life is not limited to one sacred path — it simply chooses the safest one. So now sleep on this one as you give yourself permission to release years of shame, unjustified guilt, and pain. You can thank me later by showing the world the best version of you.
My Soul Family, I offer you this closing reflection: To every mother who has ever felt “less than” because of her C-section — You are not broken. You are the portal. You did not fail at birth — you embodied rebirth. Your scar is the mark of Spirit’s hand, declaring: “Life will not be denied.” Trust me when I say the Ancestors were guarding that birth so that no matter what, their legacy could continue, and/or, it could be rescued and saved. And to every child born through this sacred doorway: You, too, are marked by light. Your first lesson in this life was that love finds a way, no matter how the gates of life open. I myself am a living proof of this!
